Availability of wind data from
potential sites for setting up wind projects in windy regions in
the States of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya
Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttaranchal,
West Bengal and Union Territories of Lakshadweep and Andaman &
Nicobar Islands, where the mean annual wind power density exceeds
200 Watts per square meter, at 50 meter above the ground level for

deviation along with peak wind information is given from
10 and 20/25m level observations. The data will be given
in a CD diskette and the basic price of Rs. 20000/- is

data, locations of the stations are given in the
respective district map along with major roads and
railway lines are also included for all the 26 stations

The objective of this wind energy survey volume book is to enable better understanding of the wind resource those who wants to develop wind farm in the specified states/UTs .This volume is the latest in the series of Volumes I to VII published in 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2001, 2005 respectively.
